Alexandra Mixed-Use

Richmond, BC

This project brief is a next-generation destination commercial/retail and office complex. The design features architecturally innovative, amenity-rich work-spaces that integrates restaurant and entertainment facilities to create an exciting centre for new business in the City of Richmond.

Situated just east of Hazelbridge Road between Alexandra Road and Alderbridge Way in Richmond, this transit-oriented site is within walking distance from the Canada Line Lansdowne Station.

This proposal is connected to the timeless history of its context and place. While rooted in history, the architectural expression of the project is forward-looking, utilizing contemporary geometries, materials and building systems. We believe that it is this dialectic interplay of references to the historic landscape and an optimistic confidence in the future that create a powerful tension within the architectural expression of this project.

A high quality material palette in keeping with the aesthetic themes is proposed for the project with colors and textures that reflect a modern contemporary “west coast” design aesthetic.
